Forks & Whimsey.
Food and objects . . . the play of light, the physical space . . . utility, random art and rustled-up craft . . . all hunted, gathered, and cooked up momentarily in kitchens.
Enjoying real kitchens and hearty food, in fine pictures and footling words. . . .
I want to build myself a kitchen. I love to cook, and to photograph. Usually, I point my camera at humans, and see them at their best. Here I would like to assemble a style sheet, to find out what pleases me.
I know I like real kitchens, working kitchens, at home and out and about, kitchens with real food stains, yes! But also with their bespoke organization and layout, designed by habit and handiness, their charm and sheen, engraved and worn into their surfaces, and their shabbiness, quirkiness, and perfect utility. And yes for their beauty. Utility and Beauty.
